This course aims to explore dynamics of the 2000-year history of Christianity. Students are expected to grasp 1) the process of geographical expansion of Christianity, and 2) the development of the Roman Catholic, the Eastern Orthodox, and Protestant Churches, as well as various denominations and movements including Pentecostalism. The course deals with topics including Christianity and culture, Christianity and secular power, Christianity and violence, religious movements and institutions, church and state, colonialism and Christian missions, and indigenization of Christianity.

簡 介： |
台南神學院是一所在台灣的神學院，簡稱南神，隸屬台灣基督長老教會。創校可追溯至1869年李庥牧師及馬雅各醫生在旗後、府城所設立的「傳道者養成班」(Student’s Class) ，1876年巴克禮牧師再將兩者合併為「府城學院」(Capital College) ，曾因戰爭而數度停辦。1903年建立現址校舍，1948年更改校名為台南神學院迄今，因應時代變遷與需求，本院於2016年6月完成教育部登記立案，校名為「南神神學院」。台南神學院校本部位於台南市東安坊文化園區裡面，本校是臺灣日治時期所建的校舍，校舍內的巴克禮紀念館與禮拜堂為臺南市的市定古蹟。
交通資訊:
高速公路：國道一號台南交流道→往西中山路→東門路三段、二段、一段（市道182號）→到達
鐵路：臺鐵縱貫線臺南車站，經由後站出口步行約15分可抵達南神神學院青年路校門口。
客運：東門教會站下車，步行約3分可抵達南神神學院東門路校門口。 |
