This course explores the role Christianity has played in the history of Taiwan, which has been characterized by consecutive periods of alien rule and cultural fluidity. Although it has always been a religious minority, Christianity has deeply influenced Taiwan’s society, culture and politics throughout its 400-year history in Taiwan.

教學內容： |
A particular focus is placed on the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan, including providing a look into the diversity of churches within the PCT. Some consideration is also given to the diversity of churches outside of the PCT. Textbook:《臺灣基督長老教會百年史》. Other materials will be copied and distributed in class as needed.

簡 介： |
台南神學院是一所在台灣的神學院，簡稱南神，隸屬台灣基督長老教會。創校可追溯至1869年李庥牧師及馬雅各醫生在旗後、府城所設立的「傳道者養成班」(Student’s Class) ，1876年巴克禮牧師再將兩者合併為「府城學院」(Capital College) ，曾因戰爭而數度停辦。1903年建立現址校舍，1948年更改校名為台南神學院迄今，因應時代變遷與需求，本院於2016年6月完成教育部登記立案，校名為「南神神學院」。台南神學院校本部位於台南市東安坊文化園區裡面，本校是臺灣日治時期所建的校舍，校舍內的巴克禮紀念館與禮拜堂為臺南市的市定古蹟。
交通資訊:
高速公路：國道一號台南交流道→往西中山路→東門路三段、二段、一段（市道182號）→到達
鐵路：臺鐵縱貫線臺南車站，經由後站出口步行約15分可抵達南神神學院青年路校門口。
客運：東門教會站下車，步行約3分可抵達南神神學院東門路校門口。 |
