COURSE DESCRIPTION: Information and communication technologies have emerged as key platforms to facilitate operations, commerce and communication on a global basis. In the hospitality and tourism industry, the importance of information technology systems has increased tremendously in the past few years and this trend will certainly continue. The integration of technology systems into the operation, marketing and management efforts of hospitality and tourism organization is an important key to success. This integration requires that technology and the overall organizational mission/goals are coordinated to achieve the desired effectiveness. This course is designed to cover topics related to information system applications in the tourism and hospitality industry.

COURSE STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
Define key terminology, concept, and trends associated with hospitality information systems and technology.
Identify the major information systems used by the hospitality industry, their roles, and important managerial issues associated with them.
Understand the impact of technology on hospitality information processing and as a strategic enabler.
Describe the operational capabilities, functions, features, and architectures of a computer-based information system within a hospitality environment (e.g., Property management systems, restaurant management systems, revenue management, business intelligence, and distribution systems).
Successfully use generic applications to organize, process, analyze, and present data.
Successfully use a cloud-based property management system to handle reservation and guest folio inquiries.
Describe common Internet and social media applications used in hospitality environments.
Assess the impact of industry-specific technologies on operational performance
Analyze current technology issues, and evaluate how these issues may impact the industry.

親臨繳費:

在推廣教育中心網站線上選取超商繳費,列印繳費單或用手機顯示條碼至超商繳費,本項服務需自付超商繳款手續費用,繳費完成後請將收據存根拍照E-mail(cec@mail.nkuht.edu.tw)至本中心(※繳費金額超過2萬元以上者,恕不接受超商繳款,請利用郵局或金融機構匯款繳費。)
信用卡繳費:
在推廣教育中心網站線上選取信用卡繳費,本項服務需自付刷卡手續費用。退費規定
報名繳費後,因不可抗力之因素(需提出證明),得於一定期限內請求退費。
退費標準:依教育部「專科以上學校推廣教育實施辦法」第17條之標準辦理退費
完成報名手續至開課前退費者:退還應繳金額之90%
實際上課後未超過全期1/3者:退還應繳金額之50%
開課後超過1/3課程者:恕不予退還費用。
若校方因故未能開班,得全額退還已繳費用。
備註
進入實作教室請穿著標準廚師服、廚帽、圍裙、防滑鞋,並勿穿短褲、拖鞋和涼鞋。
本中心不提供廚藝課程相關器具,煩請學員依各堂課程所需器具自行攜帶(※所需器具請以課程簡訊通知為主)。
烘焙相關課程:請學員需自備磅秤、半圓刮片、擠花袋(18吋)、打蛋器(12吋)、桿麵棍(30cm)、橡皮刮刀、木柄抹刀、平口花嘴工具,以利課程進行。
請妥善保養維護各項實習器具,如有偷竊、破壞、毀損等情事,除取消其研習資格外,並依法究辦,並請配合每堂下課器具點收及環境清潔工作(如未有確實執行清潔工作者及開課後擾亂課程秩序者,予以退訓,並不予退還學費)。
課程恕不接受試聽,學員請勿攜帶孩童上課或進入實習教室,以免發生危險。
課程均為一次性課程,如有單堂課程時間無法配合,恕無法補課,亦無法提供上課錄影,還請見諒。
本中心因校內活動或教室消毒及管線維修等不可抗拒因素,常需變更師資、課程時間、場地等造成不便,敬請見諒。
因配合外在整體環境因素、天災、國際情勢等無可抗力之因素,本中心保有調整替代食材之權利。
若遇不可避免之天災(如:颱風),則依照高雄市政府公告確定是否上課;如公告“停止上班”則停止上課,擇期補課。
本校園內一律禁止吸煙,在校期間有吸煙行為者給予退訓不退還任何費用。
本校提供免費汽車停車,請於報名時告知正確的汽車車號以利提供給校門警衛放行,如未提供請學員每次上課時以換證方式進出,並請學員將汽車停妥於汽車格內。

Dr. Cihan Cobanogluis a McKibbon Endowed Chair Professor of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Leadership (CHTL) at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee (USFSM), who also serves as the Director of the M3 Center for Hospitality Technology and Innovation and Coordinator of International Programs for the College of Hospitality and Tourism Leadership. He is a Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP) commissioned by Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP) and Educational Institute of American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA). He is the Editor of theJournal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology(JHTT), co-editor ofInternational Interdisciplinary Business-Economics Advancement Journal(IIBA Journal), co-editor of Journal of Global Education and Research and a co-author of five textbooks and two conference proceedings. He is also currently serving as the President ofAssociation of North America Higher Education International(ANAHEI). Dr. Cobanoglu served as the chair of the American Hotel and Lodging Association’s (AHLA) Technology and E-Business Committee from 2009 to 2011 and also a member of CHTP Advisory Council and Editorial Advisory Board of HFTP.
